1) To provide strategic guidance to the Research activities. To guide the faculty and students to prepare research proposals/projects to be submitted to various funding agencies. To endorse the research proposals taken up by the institute and supervise the progress of the research work.We are at Allana delighted to set up a Research Centre not only for Improving Teaching and Learning but also for . enabling faculty members to continuously elevate their standards of teaching and be abreast of pedagogical research and innovation that is happening across the world. While we have a long way to go, I am confident that the Centre will soon become a national resource conducting workshops and seminars for faculty members and doctoral students from institutes of higher education across the country. We welcome collaborations from other institutes for research and development of content that will advance the cause of the Centre.
2) A research centre that can serve as a platform to all the relevant stakeholders in accomplishing their goals. Established with an international, and most importantly, an interdisciplinary scope, the Centre aims to advance the knowledge and practice of modern evidence-based management and to foster impactful research.
3) Whereas the research output at a research centre is primarily driven by the faculty members, visiting scholars, and doctoral students, the support personnel are also vital. At most research centres, four types of support staff are key to efficient functioning.
A) First, a center administrator is critical in running a research centre. This person will typically coordinate the daily operations, support all entities involved in the centre, and manage interactions of the centre with the other constituents of the department/university and external vendors.
B) Second, a research coordinator is needed to manage and coordinate all research projects at the centre. This would ideally include identifying research needs, coordinating project activities, and generating and delivering reports. In addition, this member can also aid in disseminating research findings via journals, trade-related publications, and books, assist in all writing initiatives at the center, and explore new research opportunities that will keep the research pipeline of the center in steady flow.
C) Third, a project coordinator who can interact with business community members will be helpful for the centre. Ideally, this member will liaise with the business community to bring in potential clients, attend exploratory research meetings, develop research proposals, help kick start a research project, and compile final reports to be delivered to the clients.
D) Finally,Fourth One a technology coordinator can be helpful in keeping the center in good form by overseeing the technology aspects.

1) The research policy of the college aims to create and support a research culture among its teachers, staff and students and leverage it for enriching and enhancing the professional competence of the faculty members; for developing and promoting scientific temper and research aptitudes of all learners; for realising the vision and missions of the college and for contributing to national development by establishing an institutional fund and plan for facilitating their participation in research and related activities and by providing the required resources and appropriate facilities.

Research activities including basic, strategic and applied research undertaken either for fulfilling the requirements of academic degrees or for solving problems

To encourage and facilitate the publication of the research work/projects in reputed academic journals

To compile data on all the research work/projects undertaken by the teachers and students in to a database for easy monitoring and analysis of the progress being made by them from year to year

To draw up and adopt a research code, which informs all researchers about the ethical and legal norms and principles to be followed in the conduct of research
To prepare and implement a research quality assurance mechanism for ensuring that all research activities of the college conform to standard quality specifications

The Research Cell of the college shall be responsible for implementing this research policy of the college by working closely with the college management. Create incentives for the faculty who receive state, national and international recognition for research contributions as well as research awards and recognition from reputed professional bodies and agencies.
Encourage and promote the publication of research articles by the faculty in reputed/ refereed journals.
Create and maintain a database of research work and research projects undertaken by the faculty and students as well as collect data by metrics such as Citation Index, Impact Factor, h-index, SNIP, SJR, etc.
Publicise the research expertise and consultancy capabilities available in the college.
Facilitate the provision consultancy services to industries / Government / Non- Government organizations / community/ public.
